Back On Track!!!!
WOW I went to Weight Watchers today and I lost 2.5 lbs. this week. YEA!!!! I am back on track! It is a lot of work but so worth it when you get that loss. I am hoping to lose 2 this next week to make a grand total of 10 lbs. gone! So I will try very hard to stay on trac this week. I really need to get the exersizing going this week. I have not got that under control yet. I hope to start doing that this week. So I am slowly progressing once again!

I can't remember how I discovered your blog. It has certainly touched my heart! I am an adoptive Mom and altho I've never met the birth moms of my kids, I have co much love for them. I'm so sorry that your heart continues to grieve for the child you gave up. I have often tried to put myself in that place as I looked into the sweet faces of my children. I have all contacting info on one mother, but my son said he did not want it, so I keep it in my drawer. I have been tempted to go visit her and introduce myself, but I don't want to disrupt her life. I wrote her a letter when he was 18 and thanked her for her sacrifice and told her about him and what a special child he was. She never responded so I left things as they were.
Was your experience as an adopted child a happy one? Do you still have contact with your parents?
I am so happy that you have a nice marriage and God blessed you with two more children. With all of this said, I can sense an underlying sadness in your writing.
Do your kids still live at home? Some of mine were around into their early twenties. They are now 48,42 and 37...so I can somewhat relax ...Actually parenting is never over! Neither of my girls has children, but my son has two, 13 & 14. I adore them and spend a lot of time with them.
I plan to blog about each of my kids eventually. They are wonderful and very diversified. My Korean daughter is counelor, my son is a pastor, and the youngest one works in a pre-school.
I hope that you find the work you are looking for.
Oh, one more thing, I also am diabetic, but have had normal blood sugars since I lost 60 pounds about five years ago. I still need to lose 40 more, but I can't seem to get going. I found that when I started the diabetic diet and wrote everything down, that it turned out to be the best eating plan of my life and the weight came off. I still eat like that but I think my portions are to big, hence the weight isn't coming off.
I know the pain of loving to eat....and if I have "no nos" around I eat it until its gone...so I just don't buy stuff that I can't handle. I'm not totally pure, as I allow desserts two or three times a month and probably eat more carbs than I should.
Well, this is too long. You will be in my thoughts.
Joan
