1 God is our refuge aqnd strength, and ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see the works of the Lord, the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bowe and shatter sthe spear, he burns the shields with fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
We all need to remeber at all times that God is in control of our lives. He is always with us and knows what is best for us. "Be still and know I am God".

- I am a wife and Mom. I was adopted when I was 3 months old. I am also a Birth Mom and my birth daughter Wendy is 26 years old. I have a step son Gary who is 37 a son Andrew who is 21 and a daughter who is 23. My husband All and is the best man in the world! I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and now live in West Tennessee. I am a receptionist and a lay counselor at our local crisis pregnancy center. I found my birth-family when I was 27 years old and only have contact with a birth sister. I have no contact with my birth daughter at this time. Adoption is a big part of my life. I am also a type 2 diabetic and have been for almost 6 years now.

Oh what comforting words from the Psalmist. Be still and know that I am God!! That is so powerful. and then he goes on to say, "I will be exalted.......". When we live our lives to the glory (exultation) of God, we find peace in the midst of the valleys we often go through. Thanks for choosing that wonderful psalm. May we wrap the truths from it around our hearts.
